22 Doors Restaurant Bar in Seattle
Anyone else remember Jack’s Bistro on 15th Avenue over at Capitol? It’s not been around for about 5 years now, but you show me a better courtyard than the one they had at Jack’s, and I’ll show you someone that knows diddly about courtyards! Anyhoo, the old place has finally been bought, cleaned, scrubbed and re-opened as the best 1970’s bar restaurant you never went to. As a restaurant, 22 Doors isn’t too bad, but don’t be looking for any Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen stuff – the cheeseburger is $11 a pop yet looks like a McDonald’s kid’s bun. But it’s the drinks that’ll grab you – I’m still tasting my tongue from the Greyhound, with its tequila, cinnamon and red grape juice buzz. All in all, a funky enough place to hang out – and they even kept the courtyard!
